Insurance and coverage

DRYVE247 verifies qualifying host insurance. DRYVE247 does not provide motor insurance to hosts or renters.
DRYVE247 is not the motor insurer.

TerraDrives is not an insurance company and does not provide motor insurance to hosts or renters. Every listed vehicle must maintain active comprehensive motor insurance that the issuing insurer has confirmed permits the vehicle's intended rental or marketplace use. Insurance coverage, exclusions, deductibles, claims decisions and payments remain subject to the host's insurance policy and insurer. TerraDrives may verify insurance information and facilitate incident documentation, deposits and disputes, but does not guarantee coverage or claim payment.

Host vehicle requirement

Every vehicle must have active comprehensive insurance and direct insurer confirmation before listing approval.

  1. The policy must be genuine, active and comprehensive.
  2. The insured owner and listed vehicle details must match the application.
  3. The insurer must confirm that rental or marketplace use for compensation is permitted.
  4. The insurer must confirm that eligible third-party drivers or renters are permitted.
  5. The insurer must identify material restrictions, exclusions and deductible or excess requirements.

Renter responsibility

I understand that TerraDrives does not provide motor insurance for this booking. Any applicable motor coverage is provided only under the host's insurer-issued policy and remains subject to that insurer's terms, exclusions, excesses and claim decision. The security deposit is not insurance.

DRYVE247 corporate insurance

TerraDrives will maintain insurance for the company and its business activities. That corporate insurance does not insure host vehicles, renters or individual trips unless a future insurer-backed programme is formally introduced.

Possible future programme

After TerraDrives has more than 100 active approved vehicles, TerraDrives may evaluate an optional insurer-backed programme for hosts who need qualifying coverage. No such programme is currently offered or guaranteed.
